Since the Entlebucher Mountain Dog became fully AKC recognized in January of 2012, there are more breeders out there who might not be ethical in their breeding practices.  Low pricing and lack of health tests are an indication of poor breeding practices.  Please follow your gut and intuition about breeders.  And please visit the NEMDA club website for Code of Ethics breeders.

Please feel free to ask us any questions about the parents of the litter.  Pedigrees and all required health documents  should be performed and available to you to review (OFA Hip test, patella and elbow test,  prcd eye test,  OFA annual eye test, Glaucoma, etc).  You can also search the OFA website for all their health info. If they are not listed there, please beware.

Also there might be an Entlebucher needing to be rehomed so if you are interested in getting an adult Entle, please contact  rescue@nemda.org

This breed is not for everybody so please do your homework.  Please review our FAQ page. It is best to go and visit a few to assist you in making the right decision.
